Travel staffing that closes a known gap

Leave coverage, census surge, an EMR go-live, or a new unit opening — an 8 to 26 week contract fills it without committing you to a permanent hire you will not need in six months. Submittals arrive credential-complete, and the rate you agreed is the rate you are billed.

When travel is the right answer — and when it is not

Travel is the most expensive hour you can buy per unit of coverage. It is worth it for a defined gap and wasteful for a structural one. We will tell you which you have before quoting.

Use travel

A gap with an end date

  • Maternity, FMLA, or military leave where the seat is coming back.
  • Seasonal census surge — snowbird markets, flu season, trauma volume.
  • EMR go-live or accreditation prep where core staff are pulled to training.
  • A new unit or tower opening before permanent recruitment catches up.
  • Bridging an international cohort that is still months from arrival.
Consider another channel

A gap with no end date

  • A vacancy you intend to keep filled — permanent search costs less over 18 months.
  • Daily census variance — PRN covers it shift by shift with no minimum.
  • Chronic multi-year shortage — an international pipeline changes the supply, not just the coverage.
  • Rate leakage across many suppliers — that is a program problem an MSP solves.
What you get

The parts that matter after the contract is signed

Credential-complete submittals

Primary source verification on licensure, certifications, immunizations, and specialty competencies — completed before the profile reaches your nurse manager, not after they pick a candidate.

A rate card that holds

Published rates by specialty and market, fixed for the term. Exceptions require written approval, so your bill rate does not drift between quarter one and quarter three.

A named account team

A client executive, a program coordinator, and a credentialing specialist assigned by name — with a documented escalation ladder above them.

Clinicians who finish

Clinicians finish contracts when they have seen an itemized package and a written guaranteed-hours clause before signing. Nobody walks over a pay surprise in week three.

Extension management

We open the extension conversation at week eight, not week twelve — so you are not re-recruiting a role you already filled with someone your unit likes.

One invoice, reconciled first

Time capture approved by your manager against the actual schedule before billing — not disputed three weeks later. Coded to your cost centers.

From requisition to report time

What happens after you send us the role

Timings below are what we hold ourselves to in markets where we already hold credentials. If your market is one where we do not, we will say so on the first call rather than discover it at day nine.

  1. Hour 0 · Intake

Specialty, ratios, EMR, shift, start date, and approved bill rate captured once. Your coordinator confirms scope in writing the same day.

  2. Submittals

Credential-complete profiles with a written screen summary. You see the verification file, not a résumé with a promise attached.

  3. Interview & offer

Interview scheduling handled by us. Most managers run a 15-minute call; some accept on profile. Offers go out same day.

  4. Onboarding

Facility-specific requirements, background and drug screening, badge and system access coordinated before day one.

  5. Extension check

We ask your manager whether they want to keep the clinician while there is still time to act on the answer.
