We tell you what we can cover before you sign

Hospitals, health systems, surgery centers, post-acute providers, and home health agencies use Blue Water for travel, per diem, permanent, and international clinicians, or to run the suppliers they already have. We learn the unit, shift, and start date first, then propose a plan and a rate we can actually staff at. If we cannot cover it, you hear that from us up front.

Four short steps. Urgent requests are answered the same day, every day. Anything after midnight is picked up from 8am Pacific.

Choosing a channel

The wrong channel costs more than the wrong rate

Most staffing failures are a channel mismatch — a permanent search opened for a six-week vacancy, or a travel contract used to cover a structural shortage. Here is how we scope it.

Service lineBest forTimelineCommitmentCost shape
Travel contractKnown 8–26 week gap: leave coverage, census surge, EMR go-live, unit openingSubmittal timeline agreed at intake8–26 weeksHourly bill rate, all-in

Not sure? Select "Not sure — advise me" in the request form. We will tell you plainly if a cheaper channel solves it, including one we do not profit from.

What you actually get

The parts that matter after the contract is signed

Credential-complete submittals

Primary source verification on licensure, certifications, immunizations, and competencies before the profile reaches your manager.

Rate card discipline

Published rates by specialty and market, held for the program term. Exceptions require written approval, so bill rate variance stops drifting quarter over quarter.

A named account team

A client executive, a program coordinator, and a credentialing specialist assigned to your account by name — with a documented escalation ladder above them.

Quarterly business reviews

Fill rate, time-to-fill, extension rate, bill rate variance, and clinician satisfaction reported against your own baseline — not an industry average. Misses are reported alongside wins.

Hold us to these

What we will not do on your account

Most of what goes wrong with a staffing supplier is something they did quietly. These are the things we commit not to do, in writing, so you can check us against them.

Request staff
  • Quote a rate we cannot staff at. If a market or specialty is beyond us, we say so before you sign.
  • Send a profile before the credentials are verified. Primary source verification comes first, not after your manager says yes.
  • Submit a clinician without their agreement. Every clinician knows what we are sending you before we send it.
  • Treat a verbal rate exception as approved. Every exception needs written approval, and variance against the rate card is reported back to you.
  • Sell you a channel you do not need. If per diem or an internal pool solves it, we tell you, even when we earn less.
  • Sit on a requisition we cannot fill. You hear that it is not working, and what we would change, before you have to ask.
Where we staff

Licensed where your contract is

Select a state for its compact licensure status and Board of Nursing. Compact states let a clinician start on the license they already hold; everywhere else we fund and expedite the application.

Compact state Single-state license
Care settings

Six settings, six different rulebooks

Acuity, ratios, documentation, and regulatory exposure differ enormously between a trauma center and a home health agency. Our credentialing and onboarding standards are built per setting rather than applied generically.

Send us the requisition you cannot fill

Not the easy one. Send the OR night shift that has been open since March, and let us show you what the escalation path actually looks like.
