Provider coverage, on the same contract as your nursing

Locum tenens physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and CRNAs — sourced, credentialed, and privileged through the same account team that fills your nursing requisitions. One agreement, one invoice, one escalation path.

What we cover

Where provider gaps actually hurt

Locums is rarely about growth. It is almost always a schedule that no longer closes — a resignation, a sabbatical, or a call panel that has quietly become unsafe.

Hospitalist & nocturnist

Rounding and night coverage when a group loses a member and the remaining physicians absorb the call until they leave too.

Emergency medicine

Single- and double-coverage shifts, including rural critical access sites where one departure closes the schedule outright.

Anesthesia & CRNA

Care-team and independent models. Losing anesthesia coverage cancels the OR board, which makes it the most expensive gap on this page.

Primary & urgent care

Clinic continuity through parental leave, sabbatical, and recruitment gaps — including FQHC and rural health clinic settings.

Psychiatry & behavioral

Inpatient, consult-liaison, and telepsychiatry coverage where the market is thinnest and the wait for a permanent hire is longest.

Advanced practice

NPs, PAs, and CRNAs across specialty clinics, surgical first-assist, and inpatient service lines — locum or permanent.

The real timeline

Privileging is the long pole, not sourcing

Anyone can find a hospitalist. The reason locums coverage slips is credentialing and privileging, and the honest answer is that your medical staff office controls most of that clock. We work it in parallel and tell you where it actually stands.

  • We drive licensure — application, fees, and follow-up funded and chased by us, not left to the provider.
  • Credentialing packet assembled once and formatted to your medical staff office requirements, not a generic file.
  • Temporary privileges pursued where your bylaws allow them, which is often the difference between four weeks and twelve.
  • Weekly status in writing, including which items are sitting with your MSO rather than with us.
  1. Scope & profiles

Specialty, schedule, call burden, EMR, and privileging requirements captured. First provider profiles with CV, licensure map, and availability.

  2. Selection

You interview and select. We hold the provider calendar while your decision runs, so availability does not evaporate mid-process.

  3. Licensure & privileging

State licensure if needed, credentialing packet, payer enrollment where applicable, and temporary privileges pursued in parallel.

  4. Travel & onboarding

Travel, lodging, and ground transport arranged and billed transparently. EMR training and site orientation scheduled before day one.

  5. Continuity

The same provider returns for recurring blocks wherever possible, so your medical staff are not re-orienting someone new every month.

Commercials

What is in the rate, and what is not

Locums pricing hides more than nursing pricing does. Travel, lodging, licensure, and malpractice all sit somewhere — either inside the rate or billed on top. We show you which, before you sign.

  • Malpractice carried by us — occurrence-based coverage, certificate issued to your risk office before the first shift.
  • Travel and lodging itemized, billed at cost with receipts available, never marked up silently inside the hourly rate.
  • Licensure funded by us when a new state license is required for your assignment.
  • No conversion penalty after the term. If you want to hire the provider permanently, conversion is priced up front as a declining fee.
  • Cancellation terms stated in the agreement, in both directions, rather than discovered when you need to use them.
Client FAQ

Before you engage locums

Malpractice, privileging, and how provider coverage sits alongside your nursing program.

We do — occurrence-based coverage, which means claims arising from the assignment stay covered after it ends without you or the provider buying tail coverage. The certificate is issued to your risk office before the first shift.
Two to eight weeks, driven mostly by your medical staff office meeting cadence and whether your bylaws permit temporary privileges. We give you a realistic date at intake rather than an optimistic one, plus weekly written status showing which items sit with us and which sit with you.
Yes, and that is the point of buying it here. One services agreement, one account team, one consolidated invoice coded to your cost centers. Inside an MSP program, provider spend is reported in the same quarterly business review as everything else.
Conversion is expected and priced up front as a declining fee based on hours already worked. We would rather you hire them than churn through locums indefinitely — and we will say so if that is the cheaper path.
Where the assignment requires it, yes. Enrollment timelines are outside anyone control and we will not promise a date we cannot hold — but we drive the paperwork and report status weekly.
