Your next assignment, with the pay in writing

Travel contracts, PRN shifts, permanent roles, and employer-sponsored visa pathways for nurses and allied health professionals. Every package is itemized before you commit to anything, and nothing goes to a facility without your written approval.

Where you can work

Check the license before you fall for the contract

Compact states accept your multistate license as it stands. Everywhere else needs its own, which we pay for and start the moment you accept. Select a state for its Board of Nursing.

Ways to work with us

Pick the arrangement that fits your life

You are not locked into one. Plenty of our clinicians hold a travel contract and pick up local PRN shifts on their days off.

Why clinicians stay with us

Everything that usually goes wrong, written into the contract

Agency work has a reputation problem, and it is earned. Our answer is unglamorous: put the promises in writing, itemize the money, and give you a recruiter who actually picks up.

Itemized pay, always

Taxable hourly, lodging per diem, meals and incidentals, and reimbursements broken out line by line on every offer. If the package changes, you get a new sheet before you agree to anything.

Guaranteed hours in writing

Your contract carries a guaranteed-hours clause. If the facility cancels a shift, you are still paid for the guaranteed hours. No verbal assurances, no "we will work it out".

Benefits from day one

Medical, dental, and vision start on the first day of your assignment. No 30-day gap where you are uninsured between contracts. 401(k) with company match opens at 90 days.

Licensure handled and funded

We reimburse state licensure, compact upgrades, and assignment-required certifications — and we front the cost when the start date will not wait for a reimbursement cycle.

A recruiter who picks up

If something goes wrong on assignment, you call your own recruiter, the person who placed you and knows your contract, not a call center that logs a ticket.

One recruiter, not a queue

You keep the same recruiter across assignments. They learn your preferences, your blackout dates, and the units you will not go back to.

How it works

Four steps from first call to first shift

1

Tell us your terms

Specialty, region, start window, and the things you will not compromise on. One conversation, with a recruiter who stays with you across assignments.

2

See itemized offers

Taxable hourly, lodging per diem, meals, and reimbursements broken out line by line — before you agree to anything.

3

Approve every submittal

Nothing goes to a facility without your written approval. You will always know exactly where your profile has been sent.

4

Start with support

Day-one medical, dental, and vision, a written guaranteed-hours clause, and a direct line to your recruiter.

Pay transparency

Estimate your travel package

Adjust the inputs to see how specialty, market, shift, and hours change a weekly package — including the split between taxable wages and non-taxable per diem. These are modeled estimates from current market ranges; your recruiter confirms live rates against the actual requisition.

Estimates only. Non-taxable per diem requires a qualifying tax home and duplicated living expenses under IRS rules — we will walk you through whether you qualify before you sign. Blue Water does not provide tax advice.

Get submission-ready

The eight things that decide how fast you get submitted

Most delays are not clinical — they are a missing titer or a reference who does not pick up. Work this list and we can present you the same day a requisition opens. Your progress saves to this browser.
